Professor Demetrios is a certified 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt trained directly under multiple-time BJJ World Champion Professor Bruno Fernandes. His lineage traces straight back to the founder of the global Gracie Barra organization, Master Carlos Gracie Jr.
Before committing fully to the martial arts, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and operated as a licensed professional engineer for 25 years. This technical background shapes his teaching methodology, breaking down complex grappling concepts into clear, logical progressions that work for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
