Demetrios Diavatopoulos

Professor Demetrios is a Gracie Barra black belt (2nd degree) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner under prof. Bruno Fernandes. He began his martial arts journey at the age of 15 in Kyokushin Karate. He discovered the effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1993, being an ambassador of the gentle art ever since.

Prof. Demetrios has a bachelor degree in civil engineering and was a licensed professional engineer for 25 years before retiring in July 2022 to pursue his new career as a jiu-jitsu enrepreneur. He is a husband and proud father of two children.  He is honored with the privilege of bringing the Ville Saint-Laurent community its first Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy.
